After attending the national genealogy conference, RootsTech 2018, and listening to two local genealogy experts, I have decided to take the plunge and create a website about my ancestors.
My hope is that I can help other members of my family learn more about their past and to provide other distant relatives with enough clues, hints, and facts, to help them in their own examination of their past.
DNA is beginning to play a big part in genealogy research and I am fascinated with this science. There are different types of DNA tests available and each one yields different results about your past. Some tests can indicate relations back 150 to 300 years, while other tests can go back 500-1000 years or more. If I can inspire/convince others to take DNA tests, all the better – their results could help firm up those branches of the family tree.
While I do not plan to allow comments on this site, I welcome feedback via email (see the bottom of this site). The address is a little cryptic but that is to avoid the spammers that try to scoop up email addresses from every website. You should be able to figure out the address with little difficulty.
